Counterfeit Equipment
Counterfeit products can be hardware, software, or
documentation to which a Cisco trademark or logo has been affixed without proper
consent from Cisco. These include products that do not originate from Cisco
manufacturers or are produced without the approval of Cisco, and any products
that are produced with the intent to counterfeit or imitate an original Cisco
product.
Counterfeit Warning Signs
- The product is being offered at much greater discount than genuine Cisco
products.
- The product that the end user receives has Cisco labelling, logo, and
trademark, but performance and appearance are inconsistent when compared to
similar, genuine Cisco products.
